Prof. Alice Chiu founded Nobel Preschool and Nobel Arts and Language Academy (NALA) in 2012 to provide a world-class bilingual early childhood education serving the community of Hong Kong and across the People’s Republic of China. NALA Playgroups are the newest addition to the Nobel family. NALA SMART Babies is a playgroup for babies who are 12-18 months old. SMART Kiddies is a program for toddlers, ages 18-24 months. NALA playgroup participants will be given priority consideration to enroll into the Pre-nursery class (2 year old) at Nobel Preschool。

“Nobel” carries a two-fold meaning. First, it refers to the international Nobel Prize awards presented annually to candidates who display outstanding achievements in cultural and scientific advances such as Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, Peace and Economic Sciences. The second reference is to the worldwide regarded innovator, Alfred Bernhard Nobel. Dr. Nobel was a Swedish chemist, engineer, inventor and artilleries manufacturer. He spoke 5 languages fluently at the age of 17. He once said “If I have 300 ideas in a year and just one turns out to work I am satisfied.”
