Our Program

STEAM

NALA takes advantage of the natural curiosity of toddlers by engaging them in experimenting through play, which prepares them well for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math (STEAM) curriculum that will occur as part of our Nobel nursery and preschool program.

We believe children are natural scientists; making observations, questioning and experimenting are how young children learn about their world. Our SMART playgroup program honors this natural curiosity and offers engaging concepts such as planning, experimenting, measuring and problem-solving through play that will prepare them well for their preschool experience. We view toddlers as problem-solvers who are capable and extremely aware of their environment. As educators, our role is to create supportive relationships that help in navigating the natural world around us.

By introducing STEAM in early childhood we are preparing your child to become a 21st-century thinker. We do this through hands-on activities that demonstrate the concepts learned through every day play experiences. For example, experiences with building blocks and puzzles can improve children's spatial ability, which in turn helps young children develop skills that will have long-lasting effects on later learning in science and math in middle and high school.

Our innovative curriculum draws from approaches like Reggio-Emilia to ignite children’s passion for learning by capitalizing on their natural curiosity and eagerness to learn about the world around them and how it works.
