Choosing the right playgroup for your child is an important decision. You want one that embraces the wonder of early childhood. At NALA, we believe in a holistic approach to your child’s development with an emphasis on artistic self-expression and engaged creativity. This means we pay attention and address the whole child: physical, cognitive, social-emotional, or language and literacy development.  We see learning as integrated and interconnected, and we recognize and place value on the connections and relationships between children, families and teachers.

Values your child and the many ways he is constantly developing.

  • Your child doesn’t develop in little bits and pieces -- multiple skills are developed and strengthened at the same time through each experience. For example, a baby playing with a sorting toy is learning fine motor skills but is also developing hand-eye coordination, concentration, and knowledge of shapes.
Recognizes learning as a social activity.
  • Through play, whole child development is encouraged since it provides numerous opportunities for your social-emotional development like confidence, self-esteem and a sense of security. Learning how to control emotions and understand and interpret the world around her is a big task. Socializing with other children will help her learn about relationships, social skills, and develop values. Your child will realize her potential and feel competent, creative and imaginative through play and cognitive skills, such as problem solving.
