Our Format
The NALA SMART Babies and SMART Kiddies programs encourage your baby or toddler to develop and learn through meaningful and engaging play. Each session has 30 minutes of English, 30 minutes of Mandarin and 30 minutes of Cantonese instruction. All developmental areas to meet your child’s growing needs are incorporated. A typical session for you and your child includes:
- Exciting Theme
- Key vocabulary related to the theme
- Fine & gross motor skill activity
- Music & movement
- Story time
- Aesthetic activity
- Social-emotional connection
Parent involvement is essential in the NALA SMART Babies and SMART Kiddies programs. We know adults can scaffold and increase a child’s level of development, and we show you how to do this. Involvement is limited to one adult (usually either the father or the mother) per child. Each class can accommodate a maximum of 30 toddlers. Each session will be led by a Mandarin teacher, an English teacher and a Chinese teacher.
